By now you probably have Culvert Studio installed but just in case you haven’t, follow the purchase\/download instructions at the product’s website<\/a>. You will simply click an [Install] button and click [Run] or [Open] depending on your browser.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The initial download will contain the free trial version which has no time limit but limited functionality. For example, the Culvert size is fixed to a 24-inch circular pipe, you won’t be able to save project files; and most of the reports will be watermarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Culvert Studio uses Microsoft’s “Click-once” technology which makes the installation process fast and easy. An icon will be automatically added to your desktop and will launch the program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again, this installs the Trial version. From there you\u2019ll need to register, or activate, the software using your purchased license key. This turns the Trial version into a full working version. See \u201cHow to Manage Your License<\/a>\u201d for complete details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My Click Once Security Trust Prompt is Never Displayed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The message \u201cyour administrator has blocked this application because it potentially poses a security risk to your computer\u201d is shown with no option to trust the application. If this occurs, then your Trust Prompts have been disabled for some reason. Here\u2019s a way to check it out and set it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Download and run the Trust Prompt Tool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When it starts it will display your current Trust settings. Do they look like those shown below? If not, set the switches as shown below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then click [Write to Registry] and retry the install.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Culvert Studio Crashes On Startup<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

On occasion, Culvert Studio may crash just after the very first startup of the Trial version. This may be caused if your PC’s language settings are other than English (United States). To remedy, please go to your Settings –> Time & Language –> Language & region, and temporarily <\/em>set the language to English (United States). Launch Culvert Studio. Then close it. Then switch your language setting back to its original. Culvert Studio will now launch successfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
